Renormalization group analysis of superradiant growth of self-interacting axion cloud

چکیده

Abstract There are strong interests in considering ultra-light scalar fields (especially axion) around a rapidly rotating black hole because of the possibility observing gravitational waves from axion condensate (axion cloud) holes. Motivated by this consideration, we propose new method to study dynamics an field with self-interaction hole, which uses dynamical renormalization group method. We find that for relativistic clouds, saturation superradiant instability scattering due does not occur weakly non-linear regime when consider adiabatic growth cloud single mode. This may suggest explosive phenomenon called Bosenova inevitably happen, at least once its evolutionary history.

Numerical Renormalization Group Analysis of Interacting Quantum Dots

Wilson’s Numerical Renormalization Group (NRG) is so far the only nonperturbative technique that can reliably access low–energy properties of quantum impurity systems. We present a recent extension of the method, the DM–NRG, which yields highly accurate results for dynamical quantities at arbitrary frequencies and temperatures. As an application, we determine the spectrum of a quantum dot in an...

Renormalization Group Analysis of a Confined, Interacting Bose Gas

The renormalization group is not only a powerful method for describing universal properties of phase transitions but it is also useful for evaluating non-universal thermodynamic properties beyond meanfield theory. In this contribution we concentrate on these latter aspects of the renormalization group approach. We introduce its main underlying ideas in the familiar context of the ideal Bose gas...

Renormalization group approach to interacting polymerised manifolds

We propose to study the infrared behaviour of polymerised (or tethered) random manifolds of dimension D interacting via an exclusion condition with a fixed impurity in ddimensional Euclidean space in which the manifold is embedded. In this paper we take D = 1, but modify the underlying free Gaussian covariance (thereby changing the canonical scaling dimension of the Gaussian random field) so as...

Weakly interacting electrons and the renormalization group

We present a general method to study weak-coupling instabilities of a large class of interacting electron models in a controlled and unbiased way. Quite generally, the electron gas is unstable towards a superconducting state even in the absence of phonons, since high-energy spin fluctuations create an effective attraction between the quasi-particles. As an example, we show the occurrence of d-w...

Renormalization Group Approach to Interacting Fermions

The stability or lack thereof of nonrelativistic fermionic systems to interactions is studied within the Renormalization Group (RG) framework, in close analogy with the study of critical phenomena using φ scalar field theory. A brief introduction to φ theory in four dimensions and the path integral formulation for fermions is given before turning to the problem at hand. As for the latter, the f...
